Analysis of beam-column elements on non-homogeneous soil using the differential transformation method

چکیده

This paper describes an analytical approach to conduct analysis of beam-column elements with generalized end-boundary conditions on a homogeneous or non-homogeneous Pasternak elastic foundation. The mathematical formulation utilized herein is that presented by the senior author in recent work. differential equation (DE) governing behavior element solved using transformation method (DTM). DTM offers practical advantages over other conventional approaches when solving proposed structural model. provides flexibility account for i) combined lateral and axial load at ends element, ii) soil, iii) foundation, iv) external arbitrary transverse acting element. effects various slenderness ratios, pile-soil stiffness classical semirigid boundary can be easily studied formulation. Examples are validate accuracy model its applicability wide range analyses.
